Adult Mental Health Services
Counselling and Treatment
Provision of counselling, psychotherapy and other treatment services to the seriously mentally ill in the community.
Early Intervention
Provision of treatment and support services to clients experiencing a first psychotic episode and their families.
Crisis Intervention
Adults (16 and over) may access crisis intervention services from Turning Point Décisif at 6 Broomhead Rd, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to noon and from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Turning Point clinical staff is also available during these same hours to meet with adults in crisis in the Emergency Department of Chapleau General Hospital.
Additionally, Health Sciences North Crisis Line is a helpline that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-877-841-1101.
Psychiatric Services
On-site services available by a visiting psychiatrist two days every month.
Telehealth consultations are available in between on-site visits.
Homelessness Initiative
Provision of housing opportunities and support services to assist individuals with a history of serious and persistent mental illness to secure and maintain permanent, safe, affordable and high standard housing.
Employee and Family Assistance Programs
An Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) supports and assists employees and their immediate family members deal with work, health and life issues. Turning Point Décisif is the EFAP provider for a number of employers in Chapleau. Please consult your Human Resources Department for the name of your provider and the services available to you.
Health Promotion and Education
Education and promotion of mental health for the community.
