$18,000 to kick off the For the Heart, From the Heart Campaign
for New Cardiac Equipment

The Chapleau General Hospital Foundation would like to thank the Rotary Club of Chapleau for its recent donation of $13,000 and Brunswick House First Nation for its recent donation of $5,000, money which will go toward our For the Heart, From the Heart Campaign.

The campaign, which kicked off in March 2020, is aimed at raising money for new cardiac equipment including an ECG machine, a vital signs monitor and a telemetry machine.

“This equipment is some of the most important and frequently used in the hospital and could potentially save the life of one of our area’s residents. The Rotary Club and Brunswick House’s part in our fundraising efforts will help improve health care in Chapleau for years to come,” said Dr. Kendra Saari, SSCHS Chief of Staff.

Both the Rotary Club and Brunswick House have continuously supported the hospital in its fundraising efforts. The donation from the Rotary Club came from money raised during this year’s Pike Ice Fishing Derby.

The Foundation’s goal is to raise the $74,000 campaign total by December 2020.
