(Chapleau, December 7, 2022) The Chapleau General Hospital Foundation thanks the Rotary Club of Chapleau for its recent donation of $10,000. This generous gift will go toward a lift designed to assist with patient and resident transfers.

"The lift benefits all residents living in our home who have mobility limitations. The lift safely transfers our residents from bed to chair to bath tub. It can also be used after a resident has sustained a fall to lift them back into bed or chair. This lift also supports the well-being of staff, by greatly reducing risk of strain injuries," said Long-Term Care Charge Nurse Brenda Bernier.

The Rotary Club has continuously supported the hospital in its fundraising efforts. The donation from the Rotary Club came from money raised during the 2022 Pike Ice Fishing Derby. The Derby is an annual event organized by the local Rotary Club volunteers. The Foundation is very grateful for the Rotary's dedication to the community.
